Nutritional Value:
Mint is an amazing herb—it’s good for so many things! It helps with combating colds, improving digestion, prevents nausea, and promotes healthy skin and hair. You can read more about mint tea’s benefits here.
Flavors:
You definitely want to have enough mint in there to give a strong mint flavor, but if it tastes a little bitter, you may just need to add more honey.
Ingredients:
- Fresh mint leaves
- Water
- Honey
Recipe
- First, steep your mint in boiling water for about 7-8 minutes. I like to put in about 1 1/2 cups of fresh mint for about a half a pot of boiling water.
- Once they’ve boiled and you’ve begun to notice a greenish tint to your water, it’s time to drain the water through a colander into a bowl.
- What you’re left with is a beautifully-colored mint tea! Now just add some honey (start with just a little at a time and taste for your preference!) and let it cool for a bit before taking a sip!
- Enjoy your yummy, healthy cup of tea! 🙂
