I found this recipe on SCD Recipe and fell in love with how easy and nutritious this snack is!
Especially during this time, we need to be especially aware of the foods we are putting into our bodies and their nutritional content.

If you’re like me, dates may have never really been a big part (or even a small part!) of your diet before.
I have to say, though, I have loved the rich taste it supplies—it really took care of my cravings for something sweet (as dates are a natural sweetener).
Ingredients
- Banana Chips
- Whole Dates
- 1-2 tablespoons organic butter
- 1 tablespoon raw honey
- The original recipe includes coconut flakes, but I did without it
Recipe
- You’ll just start off with heating the butter and honey in a pan until the butter is melted into the honey
- Then, take the pan off the heat
- Stir in the dates until they’re well covered with the honey+butter mixture
- You can eat right away or store it in the fridge to eat later!
